Congratulations to the Chinese 2 students for their strong showing last year! These students have really impressed with their Chinese abilities. They are taking a big step by moving forward to the intermediate level.
In their second year of study, students will continue to build the core communicative skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking. We will follow the curriculum established in the Discovering Chinese series, with lots of cultural and authentic content to boost interest. In year 2 of Chinese study our cultural focus will be 20th century history and the legacy of Mao Ze Dong.
These intermediate students will be working toward advanced opportunities in the language - whether Chinese 3 at CHS, college-level Chinese study, or adventures abroad!
